Smith Creek Hill is a hill located on the Big Nugget Mine claim in Haines, Alaskan Panhandle, Alaska, USA. Smith Creek, an ancient creek, once flowed down the hill, to its confluence with Porcupine Creek.
During the offseason between seasons 2 and 3, Parker Schnabel digs out the hill to get down to paydirt. In season 3, Parker fails to find gold. After drilling test holes, they fail to find paygravel, being deeper than they could dig out in the season. In season 4, Parker has left the claim, and John Schnabel is back to try out the hill. However, this is no longer covered by the show.
