"Redemption Road" is the 15th episode of Season 3, and the 41st overall. It originally aired on February 15, 2013.

Story[]

With only 2 episodes left of season, the final push begins. In Indian River, Dave Turin runs the final of the pay dirt. However, the ground is too frozen to begin a new cut. So Todd Hoffman decides to have the trucks go to Quartz Creek to get the gold they were never able to run, and bring it back on the 2 mile one-way road. Even with a truck breakdown, and a time where the wash plant had to be fixed due to broken screens, they were able to get 200oz, bringing them to 720oz, still in reach of the 1000oz goal.

In Porcupine Creek, "Dakota" Fred and Dustin Hurt run a two excavation operation in the glory hole, until it gets too tight to work. When Dustin starts telling a new plan to run dirt to Melody, he receives a distress call from Fred, who fell from the excavator and broke his ankle. However, it did not stop Fred from continuing in the hole, until the ground becomes too hard to dig anymore. Despite this, they refuse to give up, and contemplate the next plan.

At the Big Nugget Mine, Parker Schnabel takes his grandfather, John Schnabel to the mine to see what he thinks should be done. John suggests to run a line of dirt that has not been run yet on the mine. Parker runs this dirt, and finds that it is gold-rich, possibly saving the season.
