A loader is a piece of heavy equipment used to scoop up material and load in into another piece of machinery or another pile. It features a front scoop bucket that is used to push into a pile to load itself. It is typically not used to dig. Loaders typically have four wheels, and large loaders are articulated to make a tighter turning radius.
