A Glory Hole is an ancient waterfall buried underground over the course of thousands of years. The glory holes may have a jackpot containing ancient plunge pools.
While the Hoffman Group was at the Porcupine Creek Claim, they attempted to dig down to a Glory Hole which they believed contained large amounts of gold. After the entire season, they were unable to fully reach the glory hole. After Fred Hurt took over the mine, he decided not to continue with the glory hole digging, but instead dig out to make the hole wider instead of deeper.
