The Andean Mountains (the Andes) are a mountain chain in South America. It is rich in mineral deposits, and features much hardrock mining. Downslope from hardrock deposits, placer mining occurs.
Among the places feature in Gold Rush are the Limata Mine on Ananea Mountain.
